I'll agree. Partly based on what others have mentioned in terms of it being regulated and taxed, and as a deterrent for the slave trade, etc, etc. But honestly, my biggest reason for legalizing prostitution is because I think it's absolutely hypocritical to allow an adult woman to have sex with strangers ON CAMERA for pay, and it be legal, but that same woman cannot have sex with a stranger IN PRIVATE for pay.

Methinks things are a tad bit backward.

I do not support it, but I think its necessary to be regulated by the law because legalizing it will reduce the rates of human trafficking.

Hey, it wouldn't be my choice of a job, but if they made it legal and taxed it, well, there's nothing wrong with it. As long as both people involved are consenting adults, it just makes sense.

In that sense, it completely does. People are going to do it no matter what, so why shouldn't the gov't make money off it? They already make money off of everything else.

I wouldn't buy my own prostitute, but I think that prostitution should be legalized so we can tax them

Plus, more prostitutes would seek out for help if they were ever abused 'cause less prostitutes seek help from the police if they were to get arrested for prostituting anyways.

I have a hard time personally making the call about prostitution. Allow me to say right off that I don't think it's anyone's damn business if two consenting adults have sex and money just so happens to be involved.

The problem with prostitution as a chain is that people are often pushed into it due to unfortunate financial circumstance or, worse, abducted and forced into it... Not to mention the obvious dangers of hygiene, and so forth. I think everyone's in agreement there. The point of my indecisiveness is whether it should be legalized.

Legalization of prostitution may lead to regulation, which would be for the good of all... But I wonder, would it conversely make it easier for nefarious chains to slip under the rug? It's a hard call to make... I really would like for what's in people's best interests, and I'm really unsure as to what would be. I'd love to hear your take on it.
